What services do you provide?

We provide web design, web development, graphic design, branding, logo design, point-of-sale, exhibition graphic design, brochure design, leaflet design, catalogue design, packaging design, commercial vehicle graphics, magazine design and development, advertising for magazines and newspapers, creative advertising and any other material your business may require in print or for the web.

 

We have PC's in the office, surely I can do my own design work in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Publisher?

It is often counter productive to attempt to design your own company literature, website etc. A good graphic design agency will have professional experienced personnel that will think beyond the job in hand and offer an objective view on the project. Carbon Creative strives to develop a concept for every job, not just produce something graphically interesting. Microsoft Word and Publisher are also not always user-friendly for printers, we ensure every file created is of high resolution and of a press ready format using Adobe’s Creative Suite as the industry standard.

 

What do graphic design agencies charge for services?

Slightly Curved Cube (unless requested otherwise) offer a fixed price for every project, so a figure would be impossible to state here in our FAQ section. You are assured that the fee you're paying is for high-quality, un-compromised, bespoke work. What payment types do you accept?

We accept BACS/Bank Transfer (preferred) or Paypal. We do not accept cheques or cash as payment.

 

What is a client's part in the design process?

We will thoroughly discuss the project at hand with you from the beginning and we do encourage the client to send us any samples, colour-swatches or ideas they may have. During the design process, the client is asked to approve certain milestones before work continues. At the conclusion of a project, the client may request the artwork in various formats.

 

How do I check on the progress of my job during the design process?

You are kept informed of the progress of your project via email and we will present the project to you at certain milestones. We wait for your approval before we continue work because this process keeps you involved and prevents any breakdowns in communication.

 

How will I receive my designs once finished?

Any project files are yours upon receipt of final payment. At your request, we will supply the files to you on DVD or through e-mail / FTP. We also keep a copy of your project on file for later updates or should you lose your copy.

 

Who owns the copyright?

Copyright is yours upon receipt of final payment. We do reserve the right to use any work for promotional purposes.

 

How does your logo design process work?

The 'logo package' SCC offer is concise and thorough as we carry out a fair bit of research before we design anything on the computer. We will look at your competitors to see how you can be ‘different’ from them and shine through. Hand rendering ideas on paper first to get a better understanding, as preliminary sketches are an important first step in designing a more effective logo. Once this stage is complete, you will be supplied with 6 logo concepts as a PDF. Each will vary in style, but stay within the aesthetic qualities your target market. Then from the 6 concepts delivered, may we ask you choose a favoured design. Your chosen concept will then be refined and tweaked with unlimited revisions until you receive the desired effect. On completion, we will deliver your logo as an RGB JPG and PNG, CMYK and/or Pantone EPS, AI and in Greyscale in all of the above formats for use on your FAX machine.

 

I need something designed yesterday. Can you help me?

We can usually accommodate your rush job depending on how full our production schedule is. To be fair to other clients, if a job already in production is interrupted by a rush job, we reserve the right to add an additional 33% - 50% on top of the normal fee.

 

I don't know where to start. Can you help me?
